Our adult swim programs are designed to benefit swimmers of all levels. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced swimmer, we have a program to help you improve your skills and reach your goals.

Private swimming lessons 

THE A1 STANDARD

  • 1:1 Private Structure: Every private session includes exactly one swimmer and one coach in the water

  • Semi-Private (2:1) Requirement:  For all semi-private or partner swim lessons, the client must provide both swimmers. We do not pair individuals; partners are typically siblings, friends, or family members of similar ability.

  • Weekly Consistency: Lessons are scheduled once per week in a consecutive manner.

  • Fixed Logistics: Swimmers work with the same coach, at the same time, on the same day, and at the same pool or facility to ensure continuous progress.

  • Package Flexibility: Swim Lessons are available as single lessons or in cost-effective bundles of 2,3,4, or 8 lessons.

make up and cancellation policy

 

  • There are no make-up lessons for our 2,3,4 swim packages, and all the rules below apply to 8-pack swim lessons.

  • Clients receive one (1) makeup lesson per package of 8, provided they give at least 24 hours' written notice via email before their scheduled appointment. Late cancellations for any reason will not be honored.

  • A1 will offer a one-time makeup lesson, based on availability (coach, day, and time may vary), or on the 4th and 8th Saturdays of the package duration. Clients must confirm their acceptance of the makeup lesson slot at least 24 hours before the appointment.

  • If a client declines the offered makeup lesson times and days, the lesson will be forfeited.

  • Make-up lessons are scheduled on various weekday slots or on Saturdays from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm and have to be completed in the duration of the swim package.

  • If a client schedules a makeup lesson but later cancels for any reason, the session will be considered completed and will not be rescheduled or refunded.

  • A1 reserves the right to cancel makeup lessons at any time due to unforeseen circumstances (pool closures, inclement weather, coach illness). In such cases, the lesson will be rescheduled and completed on another day.

  • Single private lessons are scheduled with no refunds and no makeup times whatsoever.

  • Make-up times for semi-private lessons must be planned and agreed upon by all participants. Make-up lesson requests for semi-private packages are to be requested by the semi-private registrar (the person responsible for booking the package).

We have three convenient locations in Maryland and offer year-round swim instruction. Our facilities are heated to 84 degrees Fahrenheit and feature multiple lanes and depths to accommodate all levels of swimmers.
