Practices will emphasize building aerobic endurance and stroke technique. This non-compete swim group is based on learning stroke turns and race techniques. Friendly competition is involved at the end of each practice. Lap swimming 50 to 100 yards is the standard distance for practicing swim drills and improving endurance. The swimmer is expected to be able to swim 1000 yards per practice at a minimum.

All groups practice on the same days and times, divided by skill level into separate lanes.
-
Coach-to-swimmer ratio: 1:12 (max)
-
Swimmers per lane: Maximum 8

Stroke School is for swimmers who can already:
-
Swim independently and safely in deep water
-
Float, kick, and use basic freestyle and backstroke
-
Follow the coach's instructions in a group setting

Stroke School is not for beginners or children still learning how to swim. If your swimmer is not yet water-safe or needs help with basic skills, we recommend our private or small group swim lessons.
